The Irrigation Water Management course is essential for anyone responsible for designing or managing irrigation systems on urban landscapes such as residential lawns, sports fields, parks, commercial properties, and golf courses. The course will also benefit municipalities and city water utility personnel, particularly those interested in developing urban water conservation programs.
Topics include:
  • Water Supply Issues in Texas
  • Irrigation Auditing Concepts
  • How to produce irrigation schedules that conserve water while promoting quality landscapes.

Students will be required to be present for the entire course and participate in worksheets and polls to receive CEU credit for the training. Each student will be required to sign into the course on their own device (no shared enrollment).

*This course will be useful for landscape contractors, irrigation professionals, and managers of large irrigated turf areas, as well as anyone interested in landscape irrigation and water conservation. Registration includes access to the Texas Irrigation Scheduling Software.

How to Access the Webinar

Course material and access information will be sent to registrants before each course. The course manual and handouts will be mailed to the address provided during registration. Course enrollment link and additional information will be emailed on October 1, 2022.

For adequate delivery and participation in the class, an internet upload/download speed of at least 2 Mbps is recommended. A simple way to test your internet speed is by your ability to stream online videos (such as through Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, YouTube, etc.). Your internet should be sufficient if you can stream a video uninterrupted. A call-in number will also be provided for computer systems that do not have sufficient audio capabilities. Students should have a webcam for participation in the course.
