Join us for a hands-on evening workshop focused on protecting the Medina River through rainwater harvesting. Stormwater runoff is one of the sources of pollution in the Medina River watershed, picking up contaminants like bacteria, yard chemicals, and oils as it flows over roofs, roads, driveways, and lawns. This workshop will introduce participants to rainwater harvesting as a simple and effective way to help reduce runoff, conserve water, and protect water quality in our streams and lakes.

Participants will learn the basics of rainwater harvesting and receive step-by-step instruction in building their own 55-gallon rain barrel to take home (one per household). Whether you’re new to water conservation or looking to expand your efforts, this workshop offers practical tools and take-home benefits you can start using right away.

If you have questions about this event please contact Mary Michael Zahed at [email protected]
