It is required for members of TAMU Geology & Geophysics (G&G) Society to pay membership dues for however long they plan to be active members of the organization. Membership can be purchased per semester or for an entire academic year - unless you plan on joining/leaving after a semester, we recommend purchasing a year of membership (2 semesters) in the fall, as it is much cheaper than purchasing one semester of membership both in the fall and in the spring.

Member Requirements: Members must earn 20 points per semester to maintain good standing with the organization; points can be earned simply by attending our monthly meetings and events, volunteering to set up/take down at events, and even from purchasing membership itself.

What does it go towards?: Membership dues go towards supplies for our events, food served during organization meetings, and funding our merchandise orders.

What do you get from it?: Every student that purchases membership (either 1 or 2 semesters) validates any points you have received by attending meetings/events. Members in good standing can earn a free cord for graduation by maintaining their points and also get to go on organization funded field trips.
