Phosphorus plays a central role in driving aquatic plant growth and harmful algal blooms, but understanding how it exists in your system is key to effective management.

The Phosphorus Panel provides a complete breakdown of phosphorus in your water sample by measuring:

• Total Phosphorus (TP): All forms of phosphorus present (dissolved, particulate, organic, and inorganic)
• Soluble Reactive Phosphorus (SRP): Dissolved, inorganic phosphorus immediately available for uptake by algae and aquatic plants
• Organic Phosphorus: Phosphorus bound within biological material such as algae, bacteria, and detritus

This panel allows you to move beyond a single number and better understand nutrient dynamics within your system:

• Identify how much phosphorus is actively fueling growth (SRP)
• Quantify phosphorus stored in biological material (organic fraction)
• Evaluate the total nutrient load and potential for future release
