Texas A&M AgriLife Research - Veterinary Pathobiology
Welcome to the Veterinary Pathobiology Service Center for the Special Services Dermatopathology Lab, the International Veterinary Renal Pathology Service Lab (IVRPS) and the Parasitology Diagnostic Lab.
The Dermatopathology Specialty Service Lab provides quality interpretation of skin biopsy specimens from veterinary dermatologists, general veterinary clinicians, and university veterinary teaching hospitals by a dermatopathologist (a board-certified veterinary pathologist who has specialized in dermatopathology).
The International Veterinary Renal Pathology Service Lab's mission is to improve health care for individual veterinary patients with diseases of the kidney and urinary tract and generate new knowledge about these diseases by expertly performing thorough pathologic evaluations of kidney, urinary tract, and urine specimens obtained from dogs, cats, and other animals.
The Parasitology Diagnostic Lab is committed to helping our clients determine if parasites are a problem for their patients, pets, herds, or flocks. Whether it be companion animals, exotics, livestock or wildlife, we offer a wide array to tests to diagnose parasite infections and infestations and determine parasite disease potential for the animals in your care. The Parasitology Diagnostic Laboratory within the Department of Veterinary Pathobiology (VTPB) at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences (VMBS) is available to serve anyone, from the VMTH to producers, including private practitioners, zoos, and government or industry.
